The José María Martín Carpena Palacio de los Deportes is one of the city of Málaga’s most pivotal buildings. The arena’s neighbours include critical sporting facilities like the INACUA Aquatics Centre and the new Athletics Stadium.
The arena holds different sporting, musical and theatrical events, along with family-friendly spectaculars. It also plays host to a variety of conventions and exhibits.
The arena is on a 30,000 square metre plot and has played host to events like the 2003 Davis Cup tennis semifinal or the Spanish King’s Cup for Basketball between 2001 and 2007. It has room for up to 11,300 spectators, making it the most-requested facility for holding large concerts.
