La Butimbamba Beach is in the town of Mijas in an urban area with a relatively high level of occupancy, especially in the summer. People flock to it due to its easy access, both by foot or by car and the wide variety of amenities you can find. With bright sand and calm waters, this beach has been flying the Blue Flag since 2017. It’s in the centre of the Cala de Mijas beachfront promenade where the Senda Litoral de Mijas also passes. You can also find the La Cala Tourism Office and the Torres Vigías museum. In the summer, La Butibamba becomes the perfect stage for musical events and has a vibrant nightlife.
