Villages
The villages of the Copper Forest appear to be strewn around the Genal river. Alpandeire, Benalauría, Cartajima, Faraján, Genalguacil, Igualeja, Jubrique, Júzcar, Parauta and Pujerra in the Serranía de Ronda, and Yunquera in the Sierra de las Nieves, are municipalities that boast a great deal of tradition linked to the chestnut. A visit to these villages at any time of year gives you a unique opportunity to discover beautiful landscapes, delicious cuisine and a number of festivals, some of which have been declared Unique Tourist Attractions given their provincial interest. We invite you to visit them, to discover them and to enjoy them.
