Festival of las Migas (Crumbs)
On the last Sunday before Christmas, Torrox holds one of its most popular celebrations, the Festival of las Migas, where the star dish of the day is served up amongst those attending: las Migas. It will be accompanied by Arriera salad (cod, olives, chives, strong-tasting oranges and oil) and local wine. The Festival of las Migas is a good excuse to visit this town, which boasts the best climate in Europe. The festival is rounded off with musical and dance performances for all ages, whilst a range of stalls sell wine, honey, dried grapes, figs, sweet fritters and traditional sweets.
